Depression Counseling

Depression can feel like a million-pound weight that you wear around your neck. You may have some or many symptoms of depression. Every day can feel much the same, with crying, hopelessness, despair, and emptiness. Depression can lighten sometimes and then it can feel crushing at other times. You may have goals for yourself and your life but continuously feel disappointed you can’t complete them. The first thing to understand is that you are not alone and there are ways to feel better. Many people also suffer from depression and there is help for you.

How Therapy Can Help:

  • Learn problem solving.

  • Get back to the things you once enjoyed or may now enjoy doing.

  • Learn how to assertively ask for what you want and need.

  • Increase your self-worth.

  • Develop healthy relationships.

  • Process through painful experiences of the past.

  • Learn how to deep breathe, relax, and get restorative sleep.

  • Create a social network for support.

  • Learn how to better ask for what you need and say “no” to things that do not serve you.

  • Develop healthy thinking patterns and beliefs.

  • Learn tools to help change problematic behavior and emotional dysregulation.
